CHIPSCO; - (Caravan Stay) - Just had four nights in the caravan with my brother. This is one of the most peaceful and relaxing sites we have visited. The site is immaculately kept and both managers are friendly and helpful. We enjoyed two brilliant days fishing on the pond here, landing over one hundred fish between us over the two days. The cabin overlooking the pond is amazing with comfy sofa and armchairs, tea and coffee making facilities and loads of books to borrow. I can't believe this real gem of a site is so inexpensive and will definitely be returning.
WENDY D - (Caravan Stay) - Another fantastic stay at this hidden little gem . Owners are lovely site is immaculate . On-site fishing and summer house are an added bonus . Short walk to the village for pubs and shops . Not our first visit and definitely won’t be our last ????. We stayed in our caravan and our friends hired a pod , it had every l thing in it that you would need .
Sunnyflower - (Glamping Stay) - We have just returned from Acorn Lodge and it was perfect. The fishing lake is excellent and we had a super meal at The Sheffield Arms. We stayed in a pod and it lovely and warm. Perfect for the winter months, you can stay all year round and not feel the cold ! The toilet and shower facilities are to a very high standard. There is a Lodge for you to use whilst fishing, you can make yourself a hot drink and there are books to read and sofas. We certainly will be returning !.
JimJi9 - (Caravan Stay) - perfect location which was well looked after by Mandy and Paul, who were very welcoming and informative about the local places of interest. The site - limited to 11 units - was excellent value for money and proved very popular but was peaceful. A small lake is adjacent to the site and was a lovely setting and popular with those caravanners/ motorhomers who enjoy fishing. The village of Burton upon Stather, is a short walk from the site and has good hostelries and a few varied shops. It is also in easy reach from Scunthorpe and Brigg and The Humber Bridge
Rachel Benton - (Glamping Stay) - We have had a wonderful stay at Acorn Wood. The pod was great and very warm, you can certainly stay throughout the winter months knowing you won't feel the chill ! Facilities excellent. Both myself and my husband enjoy fishing and the lake is really well stocked. I caught my biggest carp yet. We ate in the Sheffied Arms and it was delicious. We would certainly return.
