Acorn Wood Caravan Park Terms & Conditions

Check in & Out times:
Pitches: check-in 12noon - check-out 11am 
Pod: Check-in 12noon - check-out 11am 
Darby Lodge: Check-in  3pm check-out 10am (unless early arrival or late check has been pre-arranged)

• WI-FI Access: We have free Wi-Fi here at Acorn Wood, please ask for details 
• Smoking: No smoking inside the pod, Darby Lodge or any of our indoor areas
• Group Bookings: We do not except large groups, please repect we are a quiet park
• On-site Shop: We have a small honesty shop with a tin for your payment , please note the CCTV is running inside and around the shop and park grounds
• Parking: Of vehicles must be in the designated pod driveway and not on the grassed area. Your vehicles, their accessories and contents are left entirely at your risk. Each pod car park can accommodate 1 car, if further spaces are required please inform us on arrival.
  
• No bikes, ball games, Frisbees, kites or loud music - please respect Quiet time from 11.00pm
• No camp fires – BBQ’s must be raised off the ground, sorry no fire pits
• Communal area & log cabin around the pond please take care when using, please vacate before dark. Use after dark is ONLY at arranged social events, there is no lighting and torches will be needed. Please wash and return any cups used & leave area as you would wish to find it.
• Facilities: Showers, toilets & pot wash area, Please leave these areas as you would wish to find them. Use Mop & bucket provided. Please keep the door closed, especially in the evening OR when its raining.
• CHEMICAL TOILETS - Please use a GREEN or septic tank friendly fluid only. FORMALDEHYDE FREE ONLY Check the labelling on your fluids before arrival, we do have some available in our shop

   

Pitch Terms

• A non refundable £25.00 DEPOSIT is required on booking, balance due at least 4 weeks prior to arrival - bookings made less than 4 weeks prior to arrival will require full payment on booking.
• Minimum 2 nights stay unless booked last minute and 1 night fits in the diary
• Minimum 3 nights stay on a bank holiday unless less days fit in the diary aroound other booking
• We ONLY hold provisional bookings for 48 hours, long enough for you to make your payment. Once payment has been made, please notify me so I can confirm receipt and your booking is then secure.
• ELECTRIC – Please note that the EHU is 10amp on the pitches except for the serviced pitch which is 16amp
• CHEMICAL TOILETS – PLEASE USE A GREEN OR SEPTIC TANKS FRIENDLY FLUID ONLY. We do keep some available to purchase in the office if you require some please just ask (cash only please )
• DOGS ARE WELCOME-We are an extremely dog friendly park, we do ask that dogs to be on leads, dogs on leads are allowed around the lake, please be aware we have free roaming birds on site also that not all our visitors are dog confident, so please keep them on leads. There are lots of public walks which we can give you maps of, if you are wanting to excersise your dog offlead we can advise the best places for this. We ask that you clean up immediately after your dog so we can maintain the high standard of cleanliness of our site grounds, failing to do so will result in you being asked to leave the park with no refund. As we are a quiet and peaceful park, if you are unable to control your dog from continuously barking or keep your dog on a lead or tether we are probably not the park for you, CATS ARE WELCOME to stay however they must be on a thether and walked on lead, cats are not allowed to roam around the park offlead. We have lots of wildlife roaming please respect our rules as we reserve the right to ask you to vacate and leave your pitch if your pets are persistently off lead or causing problem without refund. Please do not leave your pets unattended in your unit while you are out.
• GROUND SHEETS – Any ground sheets used on grass must be of the breathable kind, barbecues to be raised of the ground, & hot pans must not be placed on the grass
• AWNINGS - Please do not use electric heaters in awning, be mindful of electic usage.
• DAY VISITORS – Adult visitors are welcome but strictly by prior arrangement and their vehicles must be parked on the car park at the main entrance. If your visitors behaviour is deemed unaccepable by us they will be asked to leave. No overnight stays by any visitors unless prior notice is given. There will be an extra charge for numbers over 2 adults a unit.
• PLEASE TAKE HOME ALL UNWANTED LARGE BOXES / BROKEN ITEMS - DO NOT LEAVE CARPETS, TV'S, BBQ'S, POTS & PANS, AWNING CARPETS AWNINGS ETC ETC - IF YOU ARE SEEN DOING THIS ITEMS WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU. REMEMBER WE HAVE CCTV! - WE HAVE TO PAY FOR RUBBISH REMOVAL BY WEIGHT.
• Pitch numbers: Please note that although we try to alocate and give you a pitch number we cant always keep to this and may need to change your pitch. We would only change like for like, e.g hard standing for hard standing or grass for grass and never hard standing to grass or grass to hard standing. 
• CANCELLATIONS - Any payments made are non-refundable. Should a cancellation be necessary at last minute and the booking has been paid for in full, we will try to rebook the pitch in which case we would move your booking to a new date within the year, please give us as much notice as possible. If you arrive a day late or leave early please DO NOT ask for a credit or refund for the day. If its a short notice cancellation and we can refill your pitch as a last minute booking then we will move the booking for you to another date within the year. If we cant then unfortunately you will need to claim on your travel insurance.

Glamping Pod 

• Minimum weekend 2 nights stay
• Minimum Bank holiday stay - 3 nights stay
• Deposit: To secure your stay, a deposit of £25 is required however If the booking is within 4 weeks of the arrival date, the full balance will be required. If you are booking a special offer then full payment is required on booking to recieve the special offer price.
• Payment: We ask wherever possible that payments are made by bank transfer, if you are unable to make payment this way please contact us to discuss other options of cash or card payment on arrival.
• The Nuthatch Glamping Pod is a short-term glamping pod holiday, Once you have booked and deposit is paid you you are agreeing to our terms and conditions. You agree to the following booking conditions and Acorn Wood reserve the right to change or amend these terms and conditions at any time. We also reserve the right to terminate the agreement/booking without refund of money if the behaviour of any guest is considered unacceptable, site rules are broken or if the number of occupants exceeds that stated at the time of booking.
• The person booking agrees to take full responsibility for the property and the payment of any payments due or damages. We are adult only and all other occupants and visitors will be above 18 years old, anyone under the age of 18 will not be permitted to stay and there will be no refund given. 
• PET FRIENDLY – Dogs are welcome but please bare in mind the pod is not huge and may not be suitable for larger dogs. Please remember to bring Quilts, sleeping bag and pillows. A choice of bed layout these are; as day chairs which you pull out to form sigle beds OR a fixed double, you can request your prefernce on booking if you wish.For full list of whats included in the pod please see the website page for more details. We do not allow cats to stay in the glamping pod due to managers allergies.
• On departure day please leave pod clean & tidy, empty any rubbish at the main rubbish point, Wash & return any crockery etc used and 
• Turn any heaters & appliances off before leaving
• CANCELLATIONS – If a cancellation is necessary we are happy to rearrange the dates for you to be taken during the same year but your payments are non refundable.
• ANY PAYMENTS MADE ARE YOUR AGREEMENT TO OUR TERMS.
