Acorn Wood Caravan Park Terms & Conditions
Booking Terms & Conditions -
- A non refundable £25.00 DEPOSIT is required on booking, balance due at least 4 weeks prior to arrival - bookings made less than 4 weeks prior to arrival will require full payment on booking.
- Minimum 2 nights stay unless booked last minute and 1 night fits in the diary
- Minimum 3 nights stay on a bank holiday weekend unless less days fit in the diary aroound other bookings
- Arrivals are from 12 noon unless prior arrangements are made.
- On departure day pitches must be vacated by 11 am unless advised otherwise.
- We ONLY hold provisional bookings for 48 hours, long enough for you to make your payment. Once payment has been made, please notify me so I can confirm receipt and your booking is then secure.
- ELECTRIC – Please not that the EHU is 10amp on the pitches
- CHEMICAL TOILETS – PLEASE USE A GREEN OR SEPTIC TANKS FRIENDLY FLUID ONLY. We do keep some available to purchase in the office if you require some please just ask ( cash only please )
- DOGS ARE WELCOME – PLEASE KEEP PETS ON A LEAD AT ALL TIMES, INCLUDING AROUND YOUR OWN UNIT. Dogs must be well behaved please be aware we have free roaming birds on site, also that not all our visitors are dog confident
- GROUND SHEETS – Any ground sheets used on grass must be of the breathable kind, barbecues to be raised of the ground, & hot pans must not be placed on the grass
- SHOWERS, TOILETS & POT WASH FACILITIES please leave them as you would like to find them
- AWNINGS - The use of Electric heaters are not permitted in awnings
- DAY VISITORS – Adult visitors are welcome but strictly by prior arrangement and their vehicles must be parked on the car park at the main entrance.
- CANCELLATIONS - Any payments made are non-refundable. Should a cancellation be necessary at last minute and the booking has been paid for in full, we will try to rebook the pitch in which case we would move your booking to a new date within the year, please give us as much notice as possible. If you arrive a day late or leave early please DO NOT ask for a credit or refund for the day.
- If its a short notice cancellation on the day and we can refill your pitch as a last minute booking then we will move the booking for you to another date within the year. If we cant then unfortunately you will need to claim on your travel insurance.
- PLEASE TAKE HOME ALL UNWANTED LARGE BOXES / BROKEN ITEMS - DO NOT LEAVE CARPETS, TV'S, BBQ'S, POTS & PANS, AWNING CARPETS AWNINGS ETC ETC - IF YOU ARE SEEN DOING THIS ITEMS WILL BE RETURNED TO YOU. REMEMBER WE HAVE CCTV! - WE HAVE TO PAY FOR RUBBISH REMOVAL BY WEIGHT.
- Pitch numbers: Please note that although we try to alocate and give you a pitch number we cant always keep to this and may need to change your pitch. We would only change like for like, e.g hard standing for hard standing or grassfor grass and never hard standing to grass or grass to hard standing.
AROUND THE PARK –
- No bikes, ball games, Frisbees or kites.
- Dogs must be on a lead AT ALL TIMES, including around your own unit, please use a screw in stake or similar. we have free roaming ducks. We reserve the right to ask you to vacate if your pets are persistently off lead or causing problems. Please do not leave your pets unattended in your unit while you are out.
- Visitors STRICTLY BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT ONLY - if your visitors behaviour is deemed unaccepable by us they will be asked to leave
- VISITOR PARKING IS PROVIDED AT THE MAIN ENTRANCE – TOW VEHICLE ONLY TO BE PARKED ON YOUR PITCH.
- No overnight stays by any visitors unless prior notice is given. There will be an extra charge for numbers over 2 adults a unit.
- No Large group bookings
- Quiet time after 11.00pm
- No camp fires – BBQ’s must be raised off the ground. No fire pits
- Communal area & log cabin around the pond please take care when using, please vacate before dark. Use after dark is ONLY at arranged social events, there is no lighting and torches will be needed.
- Please wash and return any cups used & leave area as you would wish to find it.
- Showers, toilets & pot wash area. Please leave these areas as you would wish to find them. Mop, bucket, cloths and wash up liquid is provided. Please keep the door closed, especially in the evening and when its raining.
CHEMICAL TOILETS -
- Please use a GREEN or septic tank friendly fluid only. FORMALDEHYDE FREE ONLY Check the labelling on your fluids before arrival
FISHING -
- Fishing is £5.00 a day per person, this is per day not hours added up over multiple days.
- Fishing to be paid for by cash if possible if not then please arrange by bank transfer or card payment with Mandy
- PLEASE USE OUR UNHOOKING MATS & LANDING NETS ONLY (Bring your own handle) -
- BARBLESS HOOKS ONLY maximum size 10 - NO KEEP NETS & NO BREAD OF ANY KIND OR FLOATING BAITS, No Braid is is to be used.
- No fishing gear to be left overnight on a peg.
- No fishing gear to be left on pegs overnight.
- No reserving pegs.
- No floating baits.
- No braid
- The use of bread as a bait is not acceptable in any form
- No keep nets
- No fishing between pegs
- One rod only at any one time
- Dawn till; dusk (9.00pm) – No night fishing
- Appropriate licences will be required, this is your responsibility & not for us to check. BAILIFFS DO CALL IN UNANNOUNCED
GLAMPING PODS -
- Minimum weekend 2 nights stay & must include Friday & Saturday nights
- Minimum Bank holiday stay - 3 nights & must include Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights
- £50.00 deposit required on booking - balance due 4 weeks prior to arrival - Bank Holiday bookings to be paid on full on booking
- Adults Only
- PET FRIENDLY – Max of 2 well behaved dogs (please bear in mind the pod is not huge and may not be suitable for larger dogs. We would ask for you to use your own bedding for our beds when bringing pets with you. Dogs will be required to be on lead at all times, including around your own unit. We suggest the use of a screw in stake or similar as we have free roaming ducks, there are plenty of poop bins and bags are dotted around the site.
- On departure day please leave pod clean & tidy. Empty any rubbish at the main rubbish point. Wash & return any crockery etc used.
- Turn any heaters & appliances off before leaving
- Please remember to bring Quilts, sleeping bag and pillows
HOLIDAY LODGE -
- An £50 deposit is required is required on booking. The balance will be required 4 weeks prior to arrival day.
- Minimum 2 nights stay on a weekend Fri/Sat
- Minimum 3 nights stay on a bank holiday weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday nights only)
- On departure day please leave lodge clean & tidy. Empty any rubbish at the main rubbish point. Wash & return any crockery etc used.
- Turn any heating & appliances off before leaving.
- Any damages will be chargeable.
- A £50 cash damage/security bond may be required. This will be refunded on leaving once all checks have taken place.
- If you choose to arrive a day late or leave a day early please do not ask for a credit or refund as this is not possible, you will need to claim from your travel insurance.
ANY PAYMENTS MADE ARE YOUR AGREEMENT TO OUR TERMS.
CANCELLATIONS – As with all travel you are advised to have your own travel insurance which will cover you for cancellations etc.
If a pitch / pod cancellation is necessary and has been paid for in full, providing adequate notice is given for us to refill the booking we may be able to carry a percentage over to another booking to be used within the same year.
If you cancel a lodge booking we are happy to rearrange the dates for you to be taken during the same year but your deposit is non refundable.
Acorn Wood cannot accept responsibility or liability for any loss or damage to any person or possessions while visiting or staying with us. We reserve the right to ask you or any member of your party to leave if your behaviour is deemed unacceptable to us.
